The mind of a student is quite different than the one of an adult. Adults are always busy with work and keeping the house together, so they never get to truly experience boredom.
As a student, I am bored very often. Boredom sticks to me as if I were a magnet.
There is one cure to boredom, which is to find a hobby. So, there I stand looking down trying to figure out what is the best use of my time. I decided to pick up reading. I used to read for hours and would eventually just end up catching z’s. To me, reading was just a way to fall asleep.
There I was again, bored. It took me quite a while to figure out my new interest. During this time, my unit tests at school began, I was not very panicked because I was well prepared. But I still didn’t know what to do in my free time. I would just while away time, talk to my friends, do nothing. Then I decided, if I couldn’t read for long, why not write?
Then I went on to create a blog site of my own, discussing topics of my interest. But I quickly lost interest and decided to try something else. I have been playing the piano for years now. I decided, why not try to learn how to make music, and around this time my mother had put me for music classes as well. So there I was, doing something I did enjoy. Now I find myself making and doing a lot of music and also playing sports and video games. So in the end, my enemy- boredom was finally defeated.
