The CHAMPS Program Is Creating All-Round Champions in Sports and Performing Arts
Every child starts school with a lot of possibilities. Some children are naturally good at things while others have talents that they do not know about yet. A student might be really good at basketball. They might be great at chess. They might love to dance, sing or act. These talents need help and support to grow.
At Chrysalis High School in Bengaluru we think that school is not about doing work in class. It is about helping students learn and grow in all ways. We want them to find out who they are, what they like and what they can do.
This is what the CHAMPS Program is about. The CHAMPS Program stands for “Chrysalis High Amateur to Masters in Performing Arts and Sports.” It is a program that helps students try things to get better at them and become confident and capable individuals.
The CHAMPS Program is not just something students do outside of class. It is a way for them to learn and grow in all areas of life. It helps them get stronger, feel better and be more creative. They learn life skills that will help them long after they leave school.
The idea behind the CHAMPS Program is simple: Every great person started out as a beginner. Whether a child is learning to play basketball, do yoga or perform on stage they start with one step. With practice, help and good experiences; they get better and slowly excel in it.
Why It Is Important to Grow in All Ways
The world is changing fast. To be successful, children need more than grades. They need to be creative, strong, able to work with others and able to understand and manage their feelings.
Children do not learn these things from books. They learn them by trying things, working with others and taking risks.
The CHAMPS Program helps our students do these things. It gives them chances to play sports, perform and try things. This helps them grow in all ways and get ready for life.
The CHAMPS Way: Every Child Can Grow

One of the things about the CHAMPS Program is that it is not just for children who’re already good at something. It is for all those who, no matter what they can do it. They do not have to be perfect; they just have to try.
A child who has never played basketball before gets the help and support as compared to who is already great at it. A child who is nervous on stage gets the encouragement as compared to who loves to perform. We do not compare children with each other; we help each child be themselves.
This way of thinking helps children feel comfortable trying things, making mistakes and learning from them. It teaches them that it is okay to not be perfect and that they can always get better.
Three Important Parts of the CHAMPS Program
The CHAMPS Program has three parts that help students grow in all ways:
Outdoor Sports
Basketball
Swimming
Skating
Indoor Sports
Taekwondo
